The L85 is currently the standard weapon of the British military. There's not many producers of airsoft replicas, but now it's clearer what is a good choice. The G&G company, known for the popular Predator or one of the best BBs has now focused on this British rifle and made a high-quality replica of it.
As it is usual for G&G, you can find excellent externals. The reciever is made of steel, steel is also the flashider. Parts such as sights are made of aluminium allow. Also the stocking is well-done, made of durable plastic in typical green. Very comfortable grip. The rails for sights are specific. There's a pair of sights included. If you want to use a scope, then use the SUSAT or its replica, for using sights of RIS standard, you need another rail. A pleasant detail is the realistic marking.
Due to the magazine placed at the rear part of the weapon (i.e. bullpup type) the weapon is compact and it has a long barrel while the weapon is still relatively short. In addition to this, the center of gravity has moved closer to the shooter, which results in more comfortable operating. Because of the system of the weapon, the fire selector is placed at the rear part of the weapon. The safety is placed above the trigger and it's possible to switch it without changing the position of your hand.
This L85 is above the evering even when it comes to the internals. There's a gearbox made in traditional G&G's high standard. Another advantage is the electronic trigger unit. The muzzle velocity if fine 125 mps.
The battery is places in the handguard (secured by a screw and a latch). The 9.6V Mini-CQB type fits without hesitation, but it's better to use 11.1 li-po battery because of the presence of the ETU. The matte gray magazine is a longer type hi-cap for 450 BBs. It's replaceable by a common M4 magazine.
Is the British military your cup of the tea? Then you don't have to be disappointed by a small offer of L85 replicas. This one is more expensive, but be sure the quality is equal to the price.
ATTENTION
Once you set up the hop-up alway set the hop-up to minimal - the adjustment knob is turned to the left.
Shoot several BBs, gently pull the adjustment knob to the right.
Repeat the process until you reach the desired hop-up effect.
Too much hop-up (knob turned right) can cause the BB jam and, in the extreme case, piston damage.
THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THIS TYPE OF DAMAGE.
