Airsoft rifle XM177 E2 (EC-325)

Based on the US Army's request for a short compact version of the M16 assault rifle, Colt developed the CAR-15 XM177 and CAR-15 Commando models in 1966.  In 1967, in response to field testing, Colt lengthened the barrel of the Commando to reduce noise and flash. This version was called the Model 629. In April 1967, the Army purchased 510 of these weapons for use by units assigned to the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) and designated them XM177E2.

The EC-325 airsoft gun is a replica of this model. It bears typical features such as a gray body color, a narrow forend and a typical flash hider. Short 170 rounds hi-cap magazine for, curved forward assist button, small sliding stock.

All offered models have a linear spring equivalent to approx. M120-M130 inside. We measured performance of up to 410 FPS (125 m/s) on the tested pieces, so the weapon is ideal for fighting at medium to longer distances. Inside the gun are, among other things, superior 8mm ball bearings, metal spring guide, low-resistance wiring, ProWin-style plastic rotary chamber, etc. The motor is powerful enough even when powered by a 7.4V battery.

The weapon is mostly metal, just like the original. That is, the stock tube, the entire body, the sights and the outer barrel with compensator. The stock, retractable stock and forend are plastic. The battery is inserted into the foregrip.

In packing you can find one metal magazine for 170 BBs. Charger and battery is not included. Compatible batteries, replacement magazines or chargers can be found below in the appropriate accessories.

• For spare magazines we recommend choose the same brands, ie E&C. However, the replica is also compatible with the CYMA, TopArms, etc.
• We recommend  7,4V Li-Ion / Li-Pol batteries.
• Suitable ammunition, due to this performance, are BB weight 0.25g. Maximum 0.28g.
