Airsoft rifle MK18 RIII (EC-644), Kestrel ECU - Grey/Black

Airsoft guns from manufacturer E&C are full-metal automatic guns powered by an electric battery. Classic materials and time-tested construction ensure low failure rates. For both beginners and advanced players, E&C guns are a great choice because they offer a modern look, good price, and sufficient performance. The manufacturer’s range includes dozens of different models that combine various stocks, sights, and modern handguards of styles such as KeyMod, MOTS, KAC, LARUE, NOVESKE, etc.

All offered models feature a linear spring equivalent to approx. M120-M130 inside. On tested samples we measured performance of up to 425 FPS (130 m/s), making the gun ideal for medium to longer-range combat. Inside the gun you will also find premium 8mm ball bearings, a metal spring guide, low-resistance wiring, a polymer rotary hop-up chamber in ProWin style, etc. The motor is powerful enough even when powered by an 8.4V battery.

The gun is full-metal – complete receiver, sights, buffer tube, outer barrel, flash hider, and handguard. On the M-Lok standard handguard  you can easily mount accessories such as a flashlight, laser, grip, etc. On the top of the receiver and part of the handguard, a RIS rail is integrated for installing sights, optics, or a red dot. The sling mount is solved with a steel loop between the receiver and buffer tube.

The pistol grip and the 5-position adjustable stock, which serves as the battery compartment, are made of high-quality polymer. The grip has texturing for a better and more secure hold. The package includes a lower and higher butt plate for adjusting the stock to best suit the shooter. The receiver and handguard are black anodized for good protection against corrosion and with resistance to wear.

By pulling the ambidextrous charging handle, the rotary ring of the hop-up chamber (ProWin style) becomes accessible. The bolt imitation is locked, making hop-up adjustment very comfortable. The bolt release is functional and, just like on the real firearm, is located on the left side of the receiver. On this side there is also the classic fire selector. The magazine release is single-sided, on the right side of the receiver. On the trigger guard you can find the gun type and a unique serial number engraved.

KESTREL PROCESSOR UNIT

The gun is equipped with a programmable Kestrel V2 Basic processor unit, which protects the gearbox and battery from damage (over-discharge or overvoltage/short circuit), further allows setting the piston pre-cocking in 5 levels and the behavior of the fire selector (SEMI / Binary / FULL AUTO / 3-round burst), it also has an active brake function and supports the use of powerful brushless or high-torque motors.

Settings are easily made using the fire selector and trigger.

Li-Po 11.1 V READY

The gun has a Dean-T connector on low-resistance wiring and is ready for use with 11.1 V Li-Po batteries.  The package also includes a Dean-T to Mini Tamiya adapter. As is usual with branded guns, neither charger nor battery is included. Compatible batteries, chargers, or spare magazines can be found below in the Suitable Accessories section.

The package also includes a FREE M100 spring.

• We recommend choosing spare magazines of the same brand, i.e. E&C. However, the replica is also compatible with brands like CYMA, TopArms, Specna Arms, etc.
• We recommend batteries 9.6V NiMH or 7.4/11.1V Li-Ion / Li-Po.
• Suitable ammunition, given this performance, are BBs with a weight of 0.25g. Maximum 0.28g.

This version is equipped with a QD 1.0 gearbox, which differs from the standard version in that it has a QD spring guide with a bearing and a modified gearbox with quick-change. To replace the spring, it is necessary to remove the gearbox from the receiver. The package includes one M100 spring free of charge, available only from us. We recommend replacing springs only with M120 and weaker ones. Careless replacement with stronger ones could lead to excessive load on the wheels or piston and damage not covered by the warranty.
