ELAK 74 M3 is a replica of the AK RMO carbine or KM-AK, that is, a refurbished, equipped AK-74 modernisation kit with a new barrel. The AK-RMO is an answer to the requirements of the modern battlefield prepared for old worn-out AK-74 carbines. The kit consists ofa slotted flame suppressor also acting as a compensator to facilitate night vision shooting. New handguard and gas tube cap fitted with RIS rails to allow the mounting of additional accessories. New, simplified stock known from the AKS-74U. Hinged locking chamber cover with RIS rail allowing for secure mounting of optics. Ergonomic pistol grip, functional magazine, extendable and folding stock and fire mode switch familiar from the AK-12. Thanks to the new barrels and the possibility of fitting aftermarket accessories, tuning parts for other AK series carbines (Zenitco, VS, Hexagon, etc.), reliability, ergonomics, it has gained sympathy among Russian soldiers and is more desirable to scouts and commandos than the AK-12 carbine.
