Glock assembled a team of experts and produced a working prototype within three months. The new gun was named the Glock 17 because it was the company's seventeenth set of technical drawings. After rigorous testing by the Austrian army, the Glock 17 was the winner of the competition. In 1982, the Glock was adopted by the Austrian army as the P80 (Pistol 80). GLOCK pistols are widely used in the civilian sector for self-defense, as well as by security forces around the world, especially in America, where they are one of the most widely used weapons. It has also received NATO certification and has become the standard service weapon of that organization.

The GLOCK 19X MOS is a special edition inspired by the live-fire original, produced exclusively at the request of an American distributor. Compared to the standard version, it features a MOS slide cut for mounting a red dot sight and an M14x1 left-hand threaded barrel for suppressor installation. The raised sights allow for comfortable and accurate aiming even when a suppressor is attached.

The trigger mechanism has a Double Action design - the inner cock does not need to be pre-pulled. The pistol is semi-automatic, when the trigger is pulled the gun is fired. In addition, thanks to the BlowBack system, the hammer is automatically cocked when the gun is fired, making the trigger lighter. Alternatively, it is also possible to just pull the trigger - the hammer is tensioned and the hammer is released in one cycle.

The safety against accidental firing is, as in the case of the real steel pistol, solved by a trigger safety. The trigger must be pressed on the centre to deactivate the safety. The gun also has a switchable safety located under the barrel.

Under the barrel is a single-slot RIS rail for mounting accessories such as a flashlight or laser. The gun has a functional slide catch, a high quality metal hop-up chamber with VSR bucking, fixed hop-up and polycarbonate nozzle.

The CO2 cartridge is inserted into a metal magazine with a capacity of 14 BBs. The tightening screw of the cartridge is accessible by removing the cap of the magazine. A nice detail is that the cap stays on the magazine after sliding it out, so there is no risk of losing it.
