Rifle scope Outback 3-12x40 SFP
Vector Optics riflescopes are durable and high quality sights designed for use not only on airsoft replicas, but also on real steel guns.
Riflescopes are made of durable aluminum alloy, which makes them extremely mechanically resistant. They also have a waterproof construction and are filled with dry nitrogen, which prevents fogging from the inside during sudden changes in temperature conditions.
The optics have excellent light transmission. It can be adjusted both laterally and vertically by means of an adjustable turret, where each shift is indicated by an audible click.
To change the magnification, simply turn the power ring, selecting the desired magnification according to the shooter's preference. Lower magnification provides a wider field of view and a clearer image. It is useful when shooting in low light, at close range and at moving targets. Higher magnification should be reserved for precision shooting at long distances, which has a narrower field of view and a dimmer image.
Mounting rings are included for installation on the RIS rail. Power is provided by a CR2032 battery. This is not included - we recommend purchasing it see Related products.

What does the marking of the 3-9x40 rifle scope mean?
The first number indicates the magnification, or magnification/zoom range (3-9 times). The number after the "x" indicates the diameter of the lens (40 mm). The larger the number the more light and better the image - the greater the lens luminosity.
What is the difference between FFP and SFP?
FFP (First Focal Plane) riflescopes have the lens with the rectacle placed on the front focal plane and SFP (Second Focal Plane) on the second or rear focal plane. FFP technology has its advantages for long range shooting (more than about 100 m). SFP is more suitable at short range and low magnification (approx. 1-6x).
Simplistically, with FFP, as the magnification increases, the size of the reticle increases, with SFP it remains the same regardless of the zoom size. I.e. for FFP the 1 Mil / 1 MOA ratio is the same regardless of magnification - no recalculation required. On the other hand, the increasing reticle may obscure the target.
What is parallax?
Parallax is an optical effect occurring when the target-intended cross-eye is not on a perfect axis. At that point, the target is optically shifted. It manifests itself at long distances (hundreds of meters, not important to deal with in airsoft). Parallax correction allows to move the reticle to the same focal plane as the target, thus eliminating reticle shift relative to the target. Riflescopes without the correction option have the parallax fixed at 100 m by default.
