Airsoft rifle AWSS KAC PDW 8” GBB, blowback - black
Replica of AWSS KAC PDW 8" rifle by WE Taiwan.
The rifle is 1:1 to its real model. The gun is all metal and has a metal folding stock. The pistol grip is made of plastic. The magazine is metal and holds up to 30 BBs. The internal parts are of course also metal. The gun is capable of both single and burst fire in addition to the safety mode.
If you are looking for the highest realism that airsoft can offer, then choose a blowback gas gun. WE is one of the top companies in the industry. Their guns are close in design to real steel guns. They have a similar trigger mechanism with firing pin, metal slide, recoil springs, functional slide catch, magazine of approximately realistic capacity. They have a realistic slide catch, realistic principle of cocking the slide before the first shot, clean and lubricate like steel guns. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, they move the slide realistically when fired. The slide "kicks" back with each shot and especially in burst mode, it's a treat for the shooter.
Of course, gas weapons do not only bring superlatives. Negatives are more difficult adjustment of the HopUp system which is affected by expanding gas, higher wear rate of internal parts, or sensitivity to low temperatures (working range 15-25°C). Gas guns are for a specific group of players who want to take the realism of airsoft to a higher level.
The weapon is capable of working with a gas magazine (included in the package), and you can also buy a CO2 magazine. Here is a comparison of the different types:
- Green gas filled magazine: fast filling from a bottle, cheaper operation, gun friendly with less wear and tear. Need to carry a gas bottle and unreliability at lower temperatures - especially bursts. Performance up to 135 m/s.
- Red gas filled magazine: fast filling from a bottle, moderately expensive to operate, better resistance to lower temperatures and more reliable function, performance up to 145 m/s, need to carry a gas bottle, risk of leaking magazines and faster wear of internal parts of the gun.
- CO2 magazine: good resistance to low temperatures, performance up to 150 m/s, only small CO2 cartridges need to be carried, relatively expensive operation (1 cartridge for max 50 shots), very lengthy cartridge change in the magazine. Magazines structurally more prone to leaks, faster wear and tear on the weapon.
Note: the listed performances are illustrative. Depends on barrel length, ambient temperature. Usually the first shot is the most powerful and gradually decreases.
