WE G39E (GBB) is a highly realistic gas blowback replica in 1:1 scale from the Taiwanese brand WE. The robust body made of durable ABS plastic combines low weight (3,4 kg) with mechanical durability, while key internal components – the bolt, trigger mechanism and other moving parts – are metal, ensuring precise operation and long service life. The designation “E” denotes the longest version – i.e. the maximum length in the G36 (G39) family.

Operating principle: The weapon operates on the principle of compressed propellant gas (Green Gas). This gas is filled into the body of the magazine from a hand bottle (available in the e-shop) within a few seconds. One refill of gas usually provides at least one full magazine of BBs.

Realistic operation and blowback: On firing, the authentic blowback effect is in play – the bolt moves noticeably backward and forward, which significantly enhances the realistic handling experience, especially in full-auto mode. The replica has a functional bolt catch and realistic takedown for maintenance.

Stock and ergonomics: The IdZ type stock on this model is folding and telescopic (extension up to 60 mm) – it allows shortening the overall length for transport or use in confined spaces and also extending for more comfortable handling in open terrain. It is equipped with a flip cheek piece and a rubberized buttpad for better support when aiming and a more stable hold.

Controls and firing: The fire selector is made like the original – ambidextrous and offers positions safe / semi / full-auto. Because of this, the replica is also suitable for left-handed users. The magazine capacity is 32 BB and corresponds to the real weapon’s parameters.

Accessory mounting: The long top RIS (Picatinny) rail provides enough space to mount a scope, red dot or other tactical accessories. On the IDZ version the rail also includes folding iron sights that can be folded down when optics are used. This ‘E’ version is additionally characterised by a metal folding bipod and a bayonet lug lock on the barrel, underlining its role for stable long-range shooting and tactical use.

Recommendations and maintenance: For reliable operation we recommend regular cleaning and lubrication of internal parts, checking the magazine seals and using quality gas and BBs. Proper maintenance ensures long service life and consistent performance.

Gas guns naturally do not come without drawbacks. Negatives include more difficult HopUp adjustment influenced by the expanding gas, higher wear of internal parts, and sensitivity to low temperatures (operating range ~15–25°C). Gas guns are not for owners attached to electric guns, but for a specific group of players who want to push airsoft realism to a higher level.

The weapon can run on both green gas and red gas. Below we list our measured values for comparison:

• Gas magazine filled with green gas:  quick magazine refills from a bottle, cheaper operation, gentler on the gun with lower internal wear. Requires carrying a bottle and unreliable at lower temperatures – especially in full-auto. Performance up to 130 m/s.
• Gas magazine filled with red gas:  quick magazine refills from a bottle, mid-range operating cost, better resistance to lower temperatures and more reliable function, performance up to 135 m/s, stronger blowback, requires carrying a large bottle, risk of magazine leaks and faster wear of internal parts.

Note: the stated performances are indicative. They depend on barrel length and ambient temperature. Usually the first shot is the most powerful and it gradually declines.
