TAC-41 P bolt action rifle - OD
Silverback TAC-41 P is an innovative rifle from the Silverback Airsoft brand, known for its great SRS rifle, which has a BullpUp construction and quickly became very popular and won many awards. The TAC-41 P is not only their first rifle of standard design (so it's not a BullpUp like the SRS), but above all it is a rifle that is completely invented by them from the ground up, and although it was easily inspired by M24 and M40 rifles, it has no real model.
The originally shaped body is very comfortable in the hand and holds great. It is incredibly light and on the front part there are locks of the modern M-Lok system and on the lower side there is a thread, for example, for mounting a tripod on a shooting range, etc. The cheekpad is adjustable and the stock back-plate can be extended.
Disassembly of the weapon is very simple and all the necessary tools are stored in the stock of the weapon, so you always have it at hand.
The magazine has a sufficient capacity of 48 BBs. From there, the BBs lead into the chamber thru a loading ramp with a capacity of 19 BBs, which, unlike most other rifles with this feeding solution, has a safety lever, thanks to which the BBs do not fall out after removing the magazine, but remain inside the loading ramp. This can be unlocked with a simple push and the BBs can be released from the ramp.
The whole rifle is 110 cm long and weighs 2.65 kg with a magazine. Its completely ambidextrous, so its suitable for both right-handers and left-handers.
DESIGN
The bolt receiver is made of aluminum on CNC machines and each piece has its own serial number. The Picatinny on the top is raised-up, for more comfortable aiming with a mask or other face cover.
The aluminium, tapered outer barrel has a 24 mm right-hand thread at the end and is therefore compatible with SRS suppressors. In addition, its floating - it is not attached in the forearm and its eventual disassembly is very fast by simply unlocking the screws and turning the barrel in the lock.
The stock is made of glass fiber reinforced nylon. It is so incredibly light and durable at the same time. The cheekpad is adjustable, as well as the length of the stock can be produced using additional pads under the stock backplate. These are 1 cm wide and the package contains 3 pieces. Maximum extension is possible by up to 6 cm after purchasing three more pads. There are 5 M-Lok locks on each side of the stock for possible installation of accessories. The other two are from below. There is also a front and rear hole on both sides for mounting the QD eye on the strap.
INTERNAL PARTS
Probably the biggest advantage of this rifle is its cylinder. It has the same volume as the SRS (41 cm³) and that makes them the rifles with the largest cylinder volume on the market. So there is a huge potential for performance tuning. Both, cylinder and cylinder head are made of stainless steel.
Inside the cylinder is the same piston as in the SRS, only with a redesigned end cap (catch). It is 90° and again steel, so it retains even the strongest springs.
The spring is of the APS 13 standard, basically with a force of 75 N, which gives the weapon a power of about 1.5 J (120 m/s)
The spring mandrel, again made of steel, is equipped with a bearing for smoother operation when stretching and longer spring life.
The trigger mechanism is also completely made of steel - the piston catch, the spring guide stopper, and the body itself. The piston catch has two bearings, which allows a very smooth and accurate operation of the trigger. It has two screws on it, which regulate the resistance of the trigger and its initial position. With the first screw (closer to the barrel), you tighten the trigger to the catch, so it is partly already pressed and a much smaller force is enough to complete the operation of the trigger. The second screw (closer to the trigger) then tightens the trigger closer to the safety lever and you can set the so-called single stage trigger (the trigger is ready on reset and immediately engages), or double stage trigger (the trigger has a short move before reset).
Hop-Up chamber is made of aluminum on CNC machines, is compatible with AEG rubber bunckings and has an anti double-feed system - protection against the feeding of two BBs at once. The pressure regulation is solved here by a very successful TDC and is regulated by a wheel on the outer barrel. It is recessed at the same time as the barrel wall, so it does not protrude from it, so you can use any optics without restrictions. The regulation has 50 steps (15 µm each) and is therefore very clean and accurate. This TDC has the most advantage in resetting the maximum position - as soon as you reach the maximum allowed pressure, it jumps to the minimum again. Therefore, there should be no risk of stucking of the BBs or damage of the Hop-Up rubber by excessive pressure.
The inner barrel is made of brass, has a length of 510 mm and an inner diameter of 6.05 mm. It is the AEG type and is centered along its length with three centering rings, which significantly reduces vibrations and shocks during the shooting and thus increases accuracy.
NOTE: Silverback tests its guns before shipping. Several magazines are fired with the gun to verify the full functionality and muzzle velocity of each piece. The slide is then treated with grease and placed back in its packaging. Because of this, the slide and receiver may bear signs of use.
