BAMF Team - COBALT Kinetics, G2, full metal, electronic trigger
B.A.M.F. (Billet Aluminum Modern Firearm) Team is an assault rifle of the Cobalt Kinetics firearms manufaturer built on the AR-15 platform. All aspects of the design were refined in collaboration with iconic professional shooters. The gun excels in several unique elements - such as a ambidextrous charging handle, fire selector and magazine catch, an oversized magazine well and, last but not least, the auto drop advance magazine. Everything packed in a unique design.
G&G has created an exact replica under the Cobalt Kinetics license with almost all the tweaks that a BAMF Team's design brings.
Design
The beautiful futuristic look from Cobalt Kinetics underlines the production process.
Almost the entire gun is CNC machined from billet aluminum, which allowed G&G to build a replica that is perfectly rigid - the lock-up between the handguard and the receiver or the buffer tube stock and the receiver is completely without clearance, everything fits perfectly. The materials used affected the weight of the weapon, which is 3.74 kg.
The CNC body is in gray color scheme, the trigger is anodized in gold, the Cobalt original muzzle brake and the stock tube are anodized in blue. The interesting thing is that almost all parts of the rifle are metal (except for the ejection window). Even parts that are commonly made of plastic, such as a grip plate or stock. In addition there are the serial number and the manufacturer's markings on the body of the rifle.
16" front handguard has 2 RIS rails for attaching a bipod, light or front sight. Handguard is recessed at the top rail to allow a nice thumb over bore without interrupting your sight. At the bottom are M-Lok locks and on the sides QD sling mounts.
On the upper side of the receiver is a RIS rail for optics or sights and a ambidextrous charging handle. After pulling the handle, it locks the bolt imitation in place allowing the comfortable Hop-up regulation. To release, simply press the bolt release button.
The fire selector and the magazine release are also ambidextrous. The specialty of the selector lever is a short run 45-90. That means very fast and accurate change of shooting mode without breaking your grip.
Another uniqueness is an oversized magazine well for speed mag changes.
The stock is non adjustable, CNC machined as well. Can be removed using 5mm hex key at the end of the stock. The battery is inserted into the stock tube, through the window in the buffer tube. We recommend using 11.1V Li-Po for best performance. The wiring has a Dean-T connector with a reduction to the Mini Tamiya.
Auto drop advance magazine (A.D.A.M.)
The trick is in the magazine. There is a paddle at the top that you can leave locked and it works like a regular magazine.
However, the beauty of this Cobalt Kinetics replica is in unlocked position. The moment you fire the last round, the paddle is released, opens the magazine catch window and eject the magazine from the rifle.
This is a completely unique solution that has never been used in airsoft and is unbeatable for ultra-fast reloading.
Compatibility is also a nice news - you don't necessarily have to use the BAMF magazines, but the rifle also works with, for example, G&G G2 magazines. Of course, they do not have the function of automatic empty magazine ejection, but they retain the functionality of empty magazine detection (the weapon does not fire when the magazine is empty).
G2 System - the mechabox of the future
Inside the gun is a completely new and improved metal gearbox G2 with 8mm ball bearings, steel gears and M120 spring. Additionally equipped with electronics - a mosfet located in the stock tube and G2 ETU (Electronic trigger unit) in the gearbox. Internal trigger contacts with electronic microswitches.
- 70% reinforcement of the gearbox frame in the most stressed parts *
- Quick change spring
- Double seals on cylinder head and nozzle for higher performance
- Double-sided fire selector and release of the magazine for faster operation
- Disconnecting the motor in the case of removed or empty magazine
- Improved oblique gears for higher performance, lower heating and power consumption.
- MOSFET reduced by 50% * for greater space in the stock tube
- Improved ETU (Electronic trigger unit) for a more sensitive trigger and to prevent triggering of the trigger
- BURST mode option - 3 or 5 shots
- Acoustic signaling of low battery voltage and gearbox faults
* compared to the previous version
The hop-up chamber is plastic with a rotating ring for better adjusting.
The muzzle velocity of the weapon is about 120 m/s (390 FPS). A suitable ammunition is 0.25 g BBs.
