420HC STAINLESS STEEL

Improved high carbon stainless steel. This stainless steel design has proven itself in the manufacture of high quality tools. In addition, the heat treatment of this steel has achieved optimum strength and durability of the Leatherman multitool, resulting in high wear resistance.

High carbon stainless steel is very corrosion resistant, in addition, it can withstand sharpened up to 3x longer than 420 stainless steel. This steel is used for some premium Leatherman multitool features, such as blades or replaceable cutter blades.
