In more than 40 years of service, Norwegian F-16s have participated in a number of international operations, including operations in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Libya, and patrolling the airspace of the Baltic states. Their last operational flight took place on January 6, 2022. Some of the decommissioned aircraft were later transferred to Romania or training companies.
