8mm High Durability Silent Bushing for AEG (6pcs)

New-generation MOD bushings for electric airsoft guns, combining low noise, high durability and smooth operation. They feature a unique hybrid construction combining POM polymer and brass.

The self-lubricating POM bushing reduces friction during rotation while also absorbing impacts generated by the piston and sector gear. The result is quieter and smoother gearbox operation with a distinctly silky sound profile.

The brass outer shell ensures a secure fit in the gearbox. The bushings are suitable for both standard gearboxes and precisely tuned builds with high demands on reliability and accuracy.

Installation and setup tips

The bushing is designed to maximise the load-bearing surface. The flange is therefore thicker, and fewer shims are recommended during installation compared to conventional bushings.

The bushings can also be used individually. If proper shimming cannot be achieved using only these bushings, they can be combined with other types of bushings depending on the specific gearbox design and desired setup.

In high-RPM positions, the bushings help reduce high-frequency noise. On the sector gear, which is exposed to high radial loads, the POM insert effectively absorbs impacts generated when the gear engages with the piston.

The brass outer shell allows the bushing to be securely bonded to the gearbox using a suitable adhesive if required.

Maintenance and important precautions

Clean the bushings regularly and keep them free of dirt to maintain smooth operation.

Avoid using them in gearboxes exposed to extreme impacts or excessive loads beyond the design limits of this type of bushing.

If the inner diameter of the POM insert becomes enlarged due to wear and the bushing no longer functions correctly, the insert must be replaced. The inner POM section can be replaced without removing the brass outer shell.
