The production of Model 712 began in 1932 and was based on the famous German self-loading pistol Mauser C96. Compared to the C96, the M712 can fire in full automatic mode and the cartridges are no longer loaded into the chamber from above by a stripper clip, but by a magazine with 10 or 20 rounds.
WE M712 Carabine is an full-metal replica. Compared to the standard 712 version, this one differs with a long barrel, forearm, and a narrower stock.
The advantage of this version is the ability to attach a sling due to the metal sling swivel on the stock and forearm. The magazine is metal, filled with greengas propellant, with a capacity of 26 BBs. It is compatible with all versions of the WE 712.
The weapon has an adjustable rear sight. Hop-up system adjustable also.. The gun is capable of both single shot and full-auto fire! The gun's quality plastic stock imitates the wooden design of a real gun.
The body is metal including the barrel and controls. The weapon has a recoil action - the slide stays in the rear position after the last shot, so called Blowback. This feature adds a high degree of realism to the weapon.
